After years of living with severe eczema, Rosie was determined to find something gentle enough for her own skin. She explored many traditional herbs and natural ingredients before discovering borage oil, the ingredient that would go on to become
the heart of ARU.

ARU became popular through word of mouth.
Created by Rosie Laing to soothe her own severe eczema, as more people discovered the cream, newspapers shared Mum's story, and health food shops across the UK began stocking ARU.
For over 30 years, people have contacted ARU with stories of comfort, relief and gratitude.
Soon, handwritten letters began arriving from families who wanted to thank Mum for the difference ARU had made. She kept every one she could, and those letters remain one of the most treasured parts of ARU's story today.
