Flare-Ups in Children's Skin
Seeing your child uncomfortable with itchy, inflamed skin can be heartbreaking. Whether caused by eczema, dermatitis or psoriasis, flare-ups can come and go, often without an obvious trigger.
ARU is gentle enough for babies and children, helping to soothe dry, irritated skin and support the skin's natural barrier during flare-ups.

Rosie found that applying Aru generously made all the difference.
During a flare-up, use 1–2 heaped teaspoons on each affected area at least 4 times a day, particularly before bed, to help soothe and comfort delicate skin.

Rosie's Gentle Guidance
Rosie found that reducing everyday irritants often helped keep children's skin more comfortable during a flare-up.
-
Choose soft cotton clothing and bedding to help reduce irritation.
-
Use an eco-friendly, fragrance-free laundry detergent. Some detergents, including certain non-biological powders, can leave residues on clothing and bed linen that may irritate sensitive skin.
-
Switch to gentle, fragrance-free shampoos, soaps and bath products. Some "no tears" and anti-dandruff shampoos can still be too harsh for delicate, flaring skin.
-
Avoid fragranced wet wipes and talcum powder. Fragrance-free wipes or cotton wool with water are often a gentler choice.
-
Use gentle, eco-friendly household cleaners where possible. Residues from harsh cleaning products can remain on baths, floors, worktops and other surfaces your child touches.
-
Avoid air fresheners, fabric sprays and furniture polishes while the skin is flaring, as added fragrances may further irritate childrens' sensitive skin.
Alongside gentle skincare and regular moisturising, these small changes may help reduce everyday irritation and keep your child's skin feeling calmer and more comfortable.

Andrea's Experience
"When I changed our wash powder and used fragrance free bath foam alongside the cream there was a real difference. The redness faded and the itchiness was almost gone . . . I'm so grateful I made those changes. "
